Privacy Notice
This is a draft under legal review. It describes how Fixgent works today and will be finalised before launch.

Fixgent runs a marketplace that connects customers with independent Taskers for home repairs and related services in Lagos, Nigeria.
What we collect
- Everyone with an account: name, email address and phone number, to sign you in, contact you about bookings and provide support.
- Customers: job details you enter, the service address, directions and map location, and photos you choose to add — so your Tasker can prepare and find you.
- Taskers: services, prices, areas covered, weekly availability and a short bio — to show you to customers who need you.
- Taskers: the outcome of the ID check (for example "verified — NIN slip"). We do not keep copies of ID documents or ID numbers.
- Taskers: a payout account label (account name and last 4 digits). Full bank details are held by Paystack, not Fixgent.
- Both: booking history, messages, quotes, extra-work requests, reports and reviews — to run bookings, resolve problems and keep reviews honest.
- Customers: payment status. Card and bank details are entered on Paystack's pages; Fixgent never sees them.
- Mobile app: a push-notification token, if you allow notifications.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who can see what
- Customers see a Tasker's first name and last initial, bio, services, prices, completed-job count and reviews. They see the Tasker's phone number only after the Tasker accepts their booking.
- Taskers see a customer's name, the job details, photos and the address for bookings sent to them, and the customer's phone number after accepting.
- Other users cannot see your bookings, photos or messages.
- Fixgent staff can see account and booking information to verify Taskers, handle payments and resolve reports.
Service providers
- Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage) and Vercel (website hosting) — may store data outside Nigeria. [Lawyer: confirm transfer basis.]
- Paystack — payments, refunds and payouts; handles card and bank details.
- Google Maps Platform — address suggestions and map locations.
- Resend — sends sign-in codes and booking emails.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to the mobile app.
How long we keep it
[Lawyer to confirm.] Proposed: account data while your account is open; booking and payment records for 6 years for tax and dispute purposes; messages and photos for 2 years after the booking.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data by contacting Fixgent support. Some booking and payment records must be kept for legal reasons even after you close your account.
